Why yogamonday?
There are new insights emerging in how we understand health in human beings.  The influences of our community environment and our emotional awareness play a bigger role than we previously thought.  At the heart of our emotional experience is Affect, the biological system present at birth.  This innate Affect system provides the building blocks that define our emotional experience.  Evidence can be easily found in nine distinguishable facial expressions universally found in all neurologically typical infants. 

By aligning the physical experiences of a yoga practice with the innate system that is the basis of our emotional lives we can renew the connection to our natural selves.  In gently exploring this realm of human experience through breath and body movement, we are often able to free energy, enhance balance and well-being.  When we add the opportunity for interaction with other participants we also discover how to enable positive change in our polarized culture.  yogamonday was designed to integrate all of these components in a fun, free-flowing yoga class that will do much more than get your body moving.  This practice is about taking a weekly step toward a more balanced life.
